My sisters and brothers in Christ,

It is with mixed emotions that I announce my reassignment to our Augustinian parish in Los Angeles, Our Mother of Good Counsel, as per my provincial’s and pastor’s request and recommendations. My start date there is January 21, 2012.
Es con una mezcla de emociones que anuncio mi cambio de destino a nuestra parroquia Agustinos en Los Angeles, Nuestra Madre del Buen Consejo, como por mi provincial y solicitar pastor y recomendaciones. Mi fecha de inicio es 21 de enero 2012.
I am humbled by your years of prayers and support, and I am grateful to God and all of you for having been assigned here at St. Thomas. I will miss all of you, as you have a special place in my heart.
Me siento muy honrado por sus años de oraciones y apoyo, y estoy agradecido a Dios ya todos ustedes por haber sido asignado aquí en St. Thomas. Voy a extrañar a todos ustedes, ya que tienen un lugar especial en mi corazón.
I must also see this as God’s will for me. He blesses us with so many opportunities, and this new assignment will give me more experiences that I need in my priestly formation. Hence I see this as something very good for me, something that I will benefit from in the long run, even though it’s painful to have to leave this wonderful parish for now. (I pray that someday I will be blessed to be able to return here.)
También debe ver esto como la voluntad de Dios para mí. Él nos bendice con tantas oportunidades, y este nuevo cargo me dará más experiencias que necesito en mi formación sacerdotal. Por lo tanto lo veo como algo muy bueno para mí, algo que se beneficiarán de largo plazo, aunque es doloroso tener que dejar esta parroquia maravillosa por ahora. (Rezo para que algún día voy a ser la suerte de poder volver aquí.)
